Steve Brookes | BA PgDL

Steve is a dual qualified Solicitor and Barrister, this dual qualification gives him the ability the transfer strong sound advice in the office to persuasive submissions in the Court room.

Steve joined the firm as an associate and became a Director in 2014. Steve is also the firms training principal and currently has a trainee under his supervision.

Steve has appeared as an advocate in many Magistrates, Crown and County Courts throughout England and Wales. Steve advises clients from the police station to trial in criminal matters and from pre-action to trial/costs assessment in civil cases.

Steve was previously employed by HMRC, advising clients on a range of taxation and financial issues.

Following call to the Bar, Steve worked in London for two years cutting his teeth in criminal litigation before moving back to his native Birmingham to branch into a mixed practise of crime, civil fraud and commercial litigation including cross jurisdictional work.

Steve is a former international athlete having represented Great Britain at triathlon and having been a lottery-funded athlete on Great Britain's Olympic program for over five years.

In his spare time he continues to compete to a high level including winning his debut race in the Marathon event; covering the 26.2 mile course is just over two and a half hours.
